Kivren + Cursor

Stay in Cursor.
Work in context.

Bring your approved computer and shared project context into your editor. Your tools and permissions stay yours.

Connect CursorSee how it works

One connection to your computer. A separate connection to your room.

Connection diagram. Computer access and room membership are approved separately.

Make it yours

Connect Cursor
to your computer.

Start with a computer you own. Review its access, then connect the AI you already use.

Set up computer access

Mac and Linux connector setup is available in Kivren. Follow the current setup guidance for your device.

  1. 01

    Add your computer

Sign in to Kivren, choose Add device and run the command shown on your computer. Finish the displayed approval steps and wait for the connection to be ready.

  2. 02

    Add the connection in Cursor

In Cursor’s MCP server settings, add the computer URL below as a remote HTTP connection. Complete the Kivren sign-in and keep Cursor’s trust and tool approvals enabled.

    https://mcp.kivren.ai/mcp
    Read connection guidance

Use a Cursor version that supports remote HTTP MCP and OAuth. Your existing editor and repository permissions still apply.

  3. 03

    Review access. Check readiness.

Complete Kivren’s connection review. Ask Cursor to check kivren_computer_status before starting. Use only the computer and tools the connection actually makes available.

A useful first conversation

Start with a clear ask.

Copy a prompt into Cursor after setup. Replace the project details with your own.

Check the connection

Check my Kivren computer connection. Tell me which computer and folders are available and what permissions are active. Do not change anything.

Review note

Read the changes in my approved project folder and draft a review note with affected files, checks performed and remaining questions. Show me the result before sharing it anywhere.

Keep the rest yours.

Computer access and Project Rooms are separate connections. Create or join a room in Kivren, connect your agent to that room, and choose the notes or decisions to share. Another authorized agent can retrieve that context when you ask it to continue.

Set up Project Rooms

Room membership does not grant computer access. Private chats and files are not automatically copied into the room.
