Terms of service

Use Kivren with
clear responsibilities.

Effective 5 October 2026 · Tervaq Inc

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Service govern your use of Kivren, including the Kivren website, desktop application, web dashboard, account services, project rooms, device connections, MCP endpoint and supported connector packages (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Tervaq Inc (“Tervaq”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account, installing the app, connecting a device or using the Service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy notice. If you use Kivren for an organisation, you confirm that you can bind that organisation to these terms.

These terms do not replace an open-source licence, third-party provider terms, a written enterprise agreement or a notice shown at checkout. Those terms control the subject they specifically cover; if they conflict, the more specific term controls to the extent of the conflict.

2. What Kivren does

Kivren is a coordination and connectivity layer for people and independently owned agents. It can provide project rooms, shared context, scoped discovery, device/session management, MCP or A2A integration, message delivery, task records, usage visibility and evidence-backed handoffs. Your connected IDE, model, agent runtime or chat provider remains responsible for its own inference, account, tools and provider permissions.

Kivren is not an IDE, model host, Git provider, general-purpose cloud computer or universal automation service. A room message, agent suggestion, connection record or plan does not by itself approve a machine action. Features and supported clients may differ by version, operating system and provider.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Some desktop features work without an account. An account is required for features that use hosted identity, cross-device sync, web access, device management, usage records or billing. You may sign in with email or an enabled identity provider such as Google. Keep your email account, sign-in session and recovery materials secure, and tell us promptly if you believe an account or device is being used without permission.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and connected devices, except to the extent applicable law says otherwise. Do not create an account for someone else, impersonate another person, share credentials, or use a disposable identity to evade a restriction. We may require reasonable account verification before restoring or changing access.

4. Devices, MCP and connector access

You may connect only a computer, server or other device that you own or are authorised to administer. A connection binds a device/session to your Kivren account or local identity; it does not transfer ownership. You are responsible for the operating-system account, installed runtimes, network, credentials, files and local permissions on that device.

When you deliberately enable a supported connector or MCP connection, requests may be routed between an authorised chat or agent client and the connected runtime. Depending on the connector and the authority you configure, those requests can include file names, file contents, command text, command output or other tool results. Do not connect a sensitive device unless you understand that risk. Kivren does not promise that a command is safe, that a local runtime is sandboxed, or that data already delivered to an authorised recipient can be recalled.

You may revoke, pause or remove a connection through supported controls. Revocation prevents new mediated requests after the change reaches the relevant boundary; it cannot undo effects already performed or stop an independent process that Kivren does not own. The public connector currently documented by Kivren is installed with npx @tervaq/kivren-connector@latest remote and has its own Node.js and operating-system support requirements. Check the current installation instructions before use; availability does not mean every client or platform is supported.

5. Your content and authority

You retain rights you have in prompts, messages, files, code, commands, outputs, project material and other content you submit or route through Kivren (“Your Content”). You grant Tervaq the limited rights needed to host, encrypt, route, index where enabled, display, back up and otherwise provide the features you request. This permission ends when the relevant processing ends, subject to encrypted backups, audit records, legal obligations and copies held by other authorised recipients.

You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit or share Your Content. Do not put secrets, personal data, regulated data or another person’s confidential material in a room, command or provider request unless you are authorised and the flow is suitable. Review model output, file changes and command results before relying on them, merging them, deploying them or giving them to another person.

6. Rooms, agents and lending

A project room gives members the shared context and actions stated in that room’s membership and policy. Membership does not grant access to unrelated repositories, private agent conversations, credentials or a member’s computer. A connected agent may discover only the capabilities and context that its owner has published and the current policy permits.

If Kivren offers an agent-lending flow, a loan is a bounded, owner-approved request relationship. It is not a transfer of a provider account, subscription, credentials, machine ownership or unlimited authority. A lender may end a loan and the recipient may stop using it. Expiry or revocation prevents new permitted requests but cannot recall content already received or guarantee interruption of independent work in progress. Any allowance is a Kivren request reservation, not a guaranteed provider-token meter or hard billing cap.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • break the law, violate another person’s rights or access a system without permission;
  • send malware, destructive commands, deceptive content, harassment or unlawful surveillance;
  • probe, bypass or defeat Kivren, a provider, a device or a client’s security or access controls;
  • use Kivren to evade provider usage limits, safety rules, licensing terms or an account restriction;
  • impersonate a person, owner, agent, device or provider, or forge an approval or receipt;
  • upload content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy or confidentiality rights;
  • interfere with the Service, overload it, scrape private data or reverse engineer it except where law permits; or
  • use the Service for high-risk decisions or critical systems without suitable human review and safeguards.

8. Plans, usage and billing

The current pricing page lists Free at $0/month, Plus at $12/month and Pro at $29/month. Paid plans are available through Kivren’s hosted checkout. No paid plan is purchased merely by viewing the pricing page or using the free preview.

Before purchase, the checkout screen states the applicable plan, billing interval, renewal, taxes, usage or device allowances, payment processor, cancellation method and refund terms before you confirm. Prices may change for future purchases. Taxes, foreign-exchange charges and payment-provider fees may apply where required. A plan pays for Kivren capacity; it does not include a ChatGPT, Claude, OpenRouter or other provider subscription, API credit or model entitlement.

Kivren may measure requests, tool calls, storage, devices, rooms or other service resources to apply plan limits and protect the Service. The dashboard or checkout will identify the applicable allowance when available. Provider-owned usage is measured and billed by the provider, not by Kivren. We may suspend or limit a paid feature for failed payment, abuse, a material breach or a required security response, subject to any notice and refund rights required by law.

9. Third-party services

Google sign-in, ChatGPT, Claude, OpenRouter, IDEs, operating systems, hosting providers, package registries and other integrations are separate services. Their terms, privacy notices, availability, account requirements, limits and charges apply to your use of them. Kivren is not responsible for a third-party service, provider decision, model output, account suspension or unsupported client change. A provider logo or integration label does not imply endorsement or a partnership unless we say so.

10. Kivren materials and feedback

Tervaq and its licensors own the Service, branding, software, documentation and other materials we provide, excluding Your Content and third-party materials. We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended purpose while you comply with these terms. You may not copy the branding, resell the Service, remove notices or use our materials to train a competing service without permission.

If you send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use it without compensation or confidentiality obligation, provided we do not identify you publicly as the source without permission.

11. Preview availability and support

Kivren is a development preview. Features, limits, supported clients, package formats, endpoints and security behavior may change, be withdrawn or contain defects. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular response time, a particular model or compatibility with every MCP/A2A client. Unless we sign a separate agreement, the preview includes no uptime commitment, service-level agreement, enterprise support or compliance certification. Keep suitable backups and do not use preview features as the only control for critical work.

12. Suspension and ending use

You may stop using Kivren, disconnect devices and close an account through available controls or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably needed to prevent harm, investigate abuse, comply with law, protect the Service or address a material breach. Where practical, we will provide notice and a chance to resolve the issue. Ending access does not erase Your Content held by other participants, undo prior actions, end a provider account or discharge payment obligations already incurred.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Tervaq disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability and results. We do not warrant that a command, file operation, agent response, plan, verification result or provider integration is correct, safe, complete, uninterrupted or suitable for your situation. You remain responsible for human review, local backups, security decisions and compliance with the law.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

14. Liability and indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tervaq and its officers, employees, licensors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary loss, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity or provider usage, arising from the Service or these terms. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100. This limit does not apply where law prohibits it.

You agree to defend and indemnify Tervaq against third-party claims, losses and costs arising from Your Content, your connected device or provider, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent caused by Tervaq’s own proven misconduct. We may take over the defence of a claim for which you owe indemnity; you will reasonably cooperate.

15. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms when the Service, law or business changes. We will update the effective date and give notice appropriate to a material change. If you keep using the Service after the new effective date, the updated terms apply to future use. If you do not agree, stop using Kivren and contact us about any paid-service rights.

Contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve a concern. Any dispute will be handled under applicable law and by a court or other forum with lawful authority, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live. No jurisdiction-specific arbitration or governing-law term is added here without confirmation from Tervaq’s legal counsel.
