Kivren + Codex

Keep Codex working.
Keep context together.

Connect an approved computer without leaving your Codex workflow. Share selected results with the people and agents in your project room.

Connect CodexSee how it works

One connection to your computer. A separate connection to your room.

Connection diagram. Computer access and room membership are approved separately.

Make it yours

Connect Codex
to your computer.

Start with a computer you own. Review its access, then connect the AI you already use.

Set up computer access

Mac and Linux connector setup is available in Kivren. Follow the current setup guidance for your device.

  1. 01

    Add your computer

Sign in to Kivren, choose Add device and run the command shown on your computer. Finish the displayed approval steps and wait for the connection to be ready.

  2. 02

    Add the connection in Codex

In Codex’s MCP connection settings, add a remote HTTP server with the computer URL below. Complete OAuth and retain Codex’s own tool approval prompts.

    https://mcp.kivren.ai/mcp
    Read connection guidance

Use a Codex client with remote HTTP MCP and OAuth support. Tool availability follows the current connection.

  3. 03

    Review access. Check readiness.

Complete Kivren’s connection review. Ask Codex to check kivren_computer_status before starting. Use only the computer and tools the connection actually makes available.

A useful first conversation

Start with a clear ask.

Copy a prompt into Codex after setup. Replace the project details with your own.

Check the connection

Check my Kivren computer connection. Tell me which computer and folders are available and what permissions are active. Do not change anything.

Test handoff

Check the approved project folder, run the relevant tests if command access allows, and summarize failures with the actual output. Show me the result before sharing it anywhere.

Share the result.
Keep the rest yours.

Computer access and Project Rooms are separate connections. Create or join a room in Kivren, connect your agent to that room, and choose the notes or decisions to share. Another authorized agent can retrieve that context when you ask it to continue.

Set up Project Rooms

Room membership does not grant computer access. Private chats and files are not automatically copied into the room.
